Job summary

The Wood Group is seeking a compassionate Behavioral Health Technician to join our mental health care team in Texas. You will aid residents with behavioral health challenges, promoting stability and well-being through empathetic, structured care.

We offer full-time shifts including an overnight 7pm–7am schedule, with opportunities to contribute to safety, dignity, and high-quality care in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of behavioral health practices, safety protocols, and crisis intervention techniques.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid Texas Driver's License is required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and well-being of all residents at all times.
• Cook and serve meals. Follow the facility menu as posted.
• Responsible for completing items listed on the facility Chore Sheet as directed by the administrator.
• Responsible for assuring all residents are treated with dignity and respect.
• Responsible for the supervision of all resident medication procedures. Ensure that all residents receive their proper medication at the proper time. All narcotics will be counted and documented on each shift.
• Daily chart documentation
• Be familiar with The Wood Group’s policy and procedures to include employee handbook.
