Job summary

The Wood Group seeks a compassionate Behavioral Health Technician to support residents and ensure safety, dignity, and well-being in a community setting. The role requires empathy, strong communication, and ability to work 12-hour overnight shifts from 7pm to 7am, with additional PRN call-out coverage.

Responsibilities include supervising medication procedures, documenting daily charts, following policies, and collaborating with community partners to help residents return to productive daily

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Texas Driver's License required.
• Certification in behavioral health or related field preferred.
• Prior experience in mental health, behavioral health, or social services advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
• Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others.
• Knowledge of behavioral health practices, safety protocols, and crisis intervention techniques.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and well-being of residents at all times.
• Cook and serve meals; follow facility menu.
• Complete items on the facility Chore Sheet as directed by the administrator.
• Treat all residents with dignity and respect.
• Supervise resident medication procedures; count narcotics and document shifts.
• Daily chart documentation.
• Follow The Wood Group policies and procedures.
