Job summary

The Wood Group Behavioral Health Services is seeking a compassionate Behavioral Health Technician in Austin, Texas. This full-time role supports residents with behavioral health needs through structured care and empathetic assistance.

The position includes an overnight 12-hour rotating shift from 7pm to 7am at our East Austin location. Responsibilities cover safety, meal service, chore completion, medication supervision and daily charting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification in behavioral health or related field preferred.
• Prior experience in mental health, behavioral health, or social services is advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and well-being of all residents at all times.
• Cook and serve meals; follow the facility menu as posted.
• Complete items listed on the facility Chore Sheet as directed by the administrator.
• Supervise resident medication procedures and document narcotics counts.
• Daily chart documentation.
• Follow The Wood Group policies and procedures in the employee handbook.
