Three Trails Behavioral Hospital in Independence, MO is seeking an experienced RN Night Supervisor to oversee nursing operations on the night shift. You will lead nursing staff, ensure safe, compliant patient care, and act as on-site administrator during off-hours.

The role emphasizes staff development, crisis intervention, admissions and discharge coordination, and maintaining smooth patient flow. A BSN is preferred and an active RN license is required, with BLS/CPR certification, and prior

Qualifications

• RN license in good standing (required).
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Behavioral health or psychiatric nursing experience strongly preferred.
• Previous supervisory or charge nurse experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to remain calm and effective in crisis situations.
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
• Ability to work 7:00pm-7:30am for three shifts per week.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and clinical oversight for all nursing staff during the assigned shift.
• Ensure safe, therapeutic, and compliant patient care aligned with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
• Serve as the on-site administrative representative during non typical hours.
• Support staff with clinical decision-making, patient assessments, and crisis intervention.
• Coordinate admissions, discharges, and patient flow as needed.
