Job summary

Bake'n Joy Foods, Inc. in North Andover, MA, is seeking a Sanitation Supervisor for the 3rd shift to lead overnight sanitation in a high-volume bakery environment.

You will ensure equipment, production areas, and facility spaces are cleaned per standards to prepare for safe startup each day. The role requires a high school diploma or GED (associates preferred) and 2–3 years of sanitation or production leadership in bakery environments, with strong knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, and allergen control.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical training preferred.
• 2-3 years sanitation or production leadership experience in bakery or large-scale food manufacturing.
• Knowledge of GMPs, SSOPs, HACCP, allergen management, environmental monitoring, and food safety audits.
• Ability to lead hourly employees in an overnight manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read, write, and complete sanitation documentation accurately.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, organizational, and follow-up skills.
• Basic computer skills including MS Office and electronic systems.
• Ability to work independently and make timely decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead overnight sanitation associates, including leads and temporary staff.
• Assign duties considering task difficulty, experience, and fairness.
• Coach, mentor, and support sanitation staff to complete tasks.
• Ensure timely completion of daily/weekly/monthly sanitation tasks per schedule.
• Verify cleaning of bakery equipment and production areas.
• Conduct pre-operational inspections and corrective actions before startup.
• Support allergen changeovers and sanitation practices as needed.
• Monitor chemical usage, storage, and PPE compliance.
• Train staff on SOPs, PPE, GMP, and allergen controls.
• Identify issues and communicate with appropriate departments for corrective actions.
