Job summary

Bridgewell seeks a Direct Support Professional to assist people with developmental, physical, and psychiatric disabilities in residential and community settings.

You will provide daily living support, behavior-friendly supervision, and skills training while ensuring safety and dignity for participants. Training in MAP/FA, PABC, and autism care may be required or offered, with opportunities for growth and the chance to impact lives positively.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 5+ years of verified experience in the same position is required.
• Experience with developmental or psychiatric disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and assist people with skills training in activities of daily living.
• Create opportunities to foster independence and decision-making.
• Follow regulatory standards (DDS, DMH, MassHealth, HUD, DPH, CARF) and Bridgewell policies.
• Support people with medical, clinical and financial needs.
• Transport and accompany individuals to activities outside the program.
• Maintain progress notes, shift checklists, and documentation.
