Job summary

Sonesta International Hotels is seeking a Night Auditor to balance all hotel income and expenses for each 24-hour cycle and to serve as a Guest Service Agent during the overnight shift. The NA will liaise with system support (Opera, SynXis) as needed and ensure accurate reporting of revenues and expenses.

Primary duties include registering guests, handling overnight transactions, and maintaining security during the shift while supporting front desk operations and nightly reporting to hotel

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• One year of hotel experience preferred.
• Reading and writing skills used for records and reservations.
• Ability to speak, read, and write fluent English; other languages beneficial.
• Professional verbal and written communication skills.
• Math skills including percentages and variances preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Opera systems preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• ServSafe and/or TIPS certifications may be required.
• Rotating mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Balance and audit room, food & beverage, and telephone revenue; assist in daily revenue reports.
• Balance and audit room taxes, cashier reports, and guest accounts.
• Prepare daily management reports and monthly packs for General Manager.
• Assist in setting up breakfast service and hotel laundry duties.
• Register guests, issue keys, answer phones, and provide information on services.
• Process cash and credit card transactions and deposits per procedures.
• Book guest reservations and up-sell rooms when possible.
• Follow seasonal reservation strategies and coordinate with shifts for service quality.
• Promote teamwork and guest service across departments.
