Job summary

Sonesta International Hotels in Rosemont, IL is seeking a Night Auditor to balance all hotel income and expenses for the 24-hour period and to serve as the overnight front desk guest service agent. The NA will also act as the hotel system liaison during night hours, opening tickets with Opera, SynXis, or system support if issues occur.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of hotel experience preferred.
• Fluent English; other languages beneficial.
• Professional verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Opera systems preferred.
• ServSafe certification may be required.
• TIPS certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Balance and audit room revenue, food and beverage revenue and telephone revenue for accuracy; assist in preparation of daily revenue reports.
• Balance and audit room tax charges, cashier reports, and guest house accounts for accuracy.
• Prepare GM daily, weekly and month-end reporting packs.
• Register guests, issue room keys, and provide information on hotel services and Travel Pass rewards.
• Process cash and credit card transactions per established procedures; post charges, prepare deposits and secure banks.
• May book guest reservations and up-sell rooms; follow seasonal reservation strategies.
