Job summary

Sonesta International Hotels in Laguna Hills, CA seeks a Night Auditor to balance 24-hour hotel income and act as a Guest Service Agent during the overnight shift. You will act as the hotel system liaison and escalate issues with Opera or SynXis as needed.

The role includes auditing revenue, posting charges, and providing accurate nightly reports while ensuring guest satisfaction and smooth operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of previous hotel experience preferred.
• Reading and writing skills for department records and reservations.
• Fluent English; other languages beneficial.
• Basic math, percentages and variances preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Opera systems preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Balance and audit room revenue, F&B revenue and telephone revenue for accuracy.
• Balance and audit room tax charges, cashier reports, and guest accounts.
• Prepare daily management reports and packet for GM.
• Assist in setting up complimentary breakfast service and amenities.
• Register guests, issue keys, and provide information on services and Travel Pass rewards.
• Process cash/credit transactions and deposits per procedures.
• May book reservations and upsell rooms to maximize revenue.
• Support shift coordination and communicate with Operations Manager.
• Adhere to safety and alcohol service policies; comply with laws.
