Job summary

Son's Island Getaways is seeking an Overnight Campground Attendant to help maintain a safe, quiet, and guest-ready park after hours. This seasonal position offers full-time or part-time hours and reports to the Property Manager and Assistant Property Manager(s).

The role focuses on overnight rounds, basic guest assistance, and light cleaning to ensure a welcoming experience for families across our park areas in Texas.

Responsibilities

• Conduct scheduled overnight rounds of lodging areas, tent sites, common areas, parking, and waterfront access points.
• Assist guests with basic needs after hours and escalate concerns to the on-call manager when needed.
• Deliver firewood or supplies to guests as assigned.
• Monitor and enforce quiet hours and address noise complaints for a family-friendly environment.
• Report maintenance issues and safety concerns promptly; support emergency procedures as needed.
• Perform overnight cleaning and park readiness tasks (trash pickup, pavilion/tidy spaces, prep golf carts).

About the Role

The Overnight Campground Attendant helps maintain a safe, quiet, and guest-ready park environment after hours through overnight rounds, light cleaning, and guest support. This is a SEASONAL, full-time or part-time position and reports to the Property Manager and Assistant Property Manager(s).

Overnight Operations & Guest Support

• Conduct scheduled overnight rounds of lodging areas, tent sites, common areas, parking, and waterfront access points
• Assist guests with basic needs after hours and escalate concerns to the on-call manager when needed
• Deliver firewood or supplies to guests as assigned

Quiet Hours & Atmosphere Control

• Monitor and enforce quiet hours in a calm, professional manner
• Address noise complaints and document issues/incidents for management follow-up
• Help maintain a family-friendly environment throughout the park

Safety, Security & Reporting

• Watch for hazards, unsafe behavior, or unauthorized access and respond appropriately
• Report maintenance issues and safety concerns promptly (lighting, gates, plumbing, trash overflow, etc.)
• Support emergency procedures and contact on-call leadership as needed

Cleanliness & Park Readiness (Overnight Touch-Ups)

• Timely trash pick-up around the park; operate trash compactor (where applicable)
• Reset and tidy pavilions, café seating/common areas, pool decks/cabanas, and high-traffic spaces
• Prep golf carts for the next day (wipe down, staging, charging)

• Basic computer skills
• Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail, speed, and accuracy
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong work ethic and a positive attitude
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends, holidays, and evenings
• Work with minimal supervision
• Maintain a positive work environment by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, vendors, coworkers, and management
• Ability to maintain a Driver's License to operate company work carts

Essential Physical Demands

• Able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position
• Regularly move throughout the park
• Continuously climb, balance, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and crawl, walk in a hot environment
• Able to manipulate fingers, hands, and arms to reach, carry, lift, etc.
• Constant exposure to outside weather conditions
