Son's Island Getaways in Texas seeks an Executive Housekeeper (age 18+) to lead our housekeeping team across glamping cabins, ensuring top cleanliness and guest satisfaction. This seasonal, full-time role starts March 18th and reports to the Property Manager.

Pay is $18-$20 per hour. You will schedule staff, coordinate with maintenance for cabin repairs, manage inventory and training, and oversee safety and operating standards to deliver a flawless guest experience.

About the Role

The Executive Housekeeper (age 18+) is responsible for overseeing the safety and wellbeing of housekeeping staff and guests, as well as maintaining the highest cleanliness standards across all cabins and guest areas. This supervisor will lead a team of housekeeping staff and coordinate with maintenance for any cabin repairs. This is a seasonal, full-time position starting March 18th, reporting to the Property Manager.

Administrative Duties

• Schedules staff, monitors payroll, and maintains compliance with a payroll budget
• Participates in the recruitment process and selection of talent for the housekeeping staff
• Ensures the completion and proper communication/escalation of maintenance work orders and other concerns to the appropriate department
• Participates in the development and execution of training programs for new hires as well as ongoing training for staff members
• Creates and schedules daily assignments, daily and weekly projects, and optimizes staff to ensure cabin cleanliness and upkeep
• Conducts daily stand up meetings with housekeeping staff to prioritize the day and facilitates feedback from staff members
• Assists with maintaining an inventory of housekeeping supplies and equipment
• Maintains SDS and inventory for all chemicals

Daily Duties

• Ensures the turnover of all glamping cabins on time; verifies stayovers, reports early checkouts and communicates issues and discrepancies with the front desk
• Maintains accurate cabin and cleanliness statuses
• Provides coaching, encouragement, and recognition to staff members when necessary
• Inspects cabins for cleanliness, damage, supply levels, maintenance issues, and temperature control; coaches and drives accountability and performance improvement
• Ensures storage rooms, trash rooms, and laundry areas are clean, organized, and inventoried adequately for the next day's activities
• Leads and mentors housekeeping staff daily to ensure guest enjoyment, cleanliness standards and operational efficiencies are met or exceeded
• Manages laundry operations including inventory and cleanliness processes

Other Essential Duties

• Completes required reports on a timely basis
• Collaborates with park and home office departments
• Responds to guest inquiries using the company's service recovery guidelines
• Utilizes and learns the reservation system for daily planning
• Participates in other projects and activities as assigned

Essential Physical Demands

• Able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position
• Regularly move throughout the park
• Continuously climb, balance, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and crawl, walk in a hot environment
• Able to manipulate fingers, hands, and arms to reach, carry, lift, etc.
• Constant exposure to outside weather conditions
