Job summary

Edward Jones seeks an experienced Software Engineer III to support Overlay Management in Tempe, AZ. You will design and implement high-quality software for sophisticated investment processes, collaborating with stakeholders to translate requirements into reliable solutions.

Responsibilities include drafting system designs, building, testing, and deploying robust software, and driving continuous improvement across multiple platforms with strong emphasis on risk modeling and optimization tools.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field or equivalent work experience.
5+ years of software development experience.
2+ years with multi-factor risk models (e.g., Aladdin, MSCI, Axioma).
2+ years with portfolio optimization platforms (e.g., Axioma, MSCI, Aladdin).
Expert in at least one major development environment with database interface capability.

Responsibilities

Apply business and technical knowledge to ensure availability of pilot overlay systems.
Independently design high-level and technical system components.
Develop requirements for enhancements and new systems.
Design, develop, test, document, and implement quality software on schedule.
Provide estimates and identify project urgencies and trade-offs.
Build relationships with stakeholders and guide continuous improvement.
Develop and execute complex system test plans and total-system documentation.
Act as Engineer III within Edward Jones' team structure.
