Job summary

Edward Jones in San Francisco is seeking a seasoned software engineer to join the Overlay Management team as Engineer III. You will design, develop, test, and deploy scalable overlay systems addressing tax, risk, and customization needs for clients and advisors.

You will collaborate with business and technology stakeholders, translate requirements into robust solutions, and contribute to continuous improvement while delivering on schedule in a dynamic financial services environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or comparable work experience.
• 5+ years of experience in software development.
• 2+ years experience with multi-factor risk models (Aladdin, MSCI, Axioma).
• 2+ years experience with portfolio optimization platforms (Axioma, MSCI, Aladdin).
• Expert level in at least one environment: Web App, Client App, Mainframe, or Optimization/risk models.

Responsibilities

• Apply business and technical knowledge to ensure availability of systems used in overlay services.
• Independently complete high-level and technical systems design for new/enhanced systems.
• Develop business and technical requirements for enhancements and projects.
• Design, develop, test, document, and implement quality application software.
• Provide and validate program estimates and project timelines.
• Identify dependencies and trade-offs across multiple systems.
• Develop stakeholder relationships and promote continuous improvement.
• Develop and execute complex system test plans to ensure quality.
• Create documentation across systems and functional areas.
