Job summary

Pike Electric, Inc. is seeking a Groundman - Overhead (Sawnee EMC) to support our electric utility projects. You will assist the crew in building, repairing, and maintaining overhead distribution systems, reporting to the Foreman and following safety protocols.

This role involves outdoor work in varying weather, potential outages, travel, and lifting up to 50 pounds. A valid driver's license is required with the ability to obtain a CDL within 60 days, and overtime including weekends may be

Qualifications

• Must have Valid Driver's License; ability to obtain CDL within 60 days.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist crew in building, repairing, and maintaining overhead distribution systems.
• Report to Foreman and follow safety protocols.
• Perform new construction and maintenance of overhead lines, poles, insulators, conductors and related hardware.
• Maintain company vehicles, equipment and tools in good condition.
• Work outdoors in varying environmental conditions and be available for outages and emergencies.
