Job summary

I & S Group, Inc. is looking for a Transmission Line Engineer to support their Power Group, located in Cleveland, OH. In this full-time role, you will design and deliver overhead transmission projects, ensuring compliance with client specifications and regulatory standards.

The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering and 5-15+ years of relevant experience. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, paid time off, and employee ownership stock plan.

Qualifications

• 5-15+ years of experience in the design and analysis of transmission lines (25kV and above).
• Demonstrates integrity, accountability, and sound independent judgment.
• Solid understanding of electrical and structural engineering principles.

Responsibilities

• Design transmission line routes, configurations, and structures.
• Perform structural analysis, sag-tension calculations, and clearance checks.
• Develop detailed design packages, including drawings and specifications.

Skills

Strong ability to build and maintain effective relationships

Proficiency in PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, FAD Tools, and AutoCAD

Proven analytical and problem-solving skills

Commitment to staying current with industry trends

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering

Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain
