Job summary

E-Z Bel Construction, LLC in Texas seeks a Foreman – Overhead Traffic Signals to lead field crews installing, maintaining, and inspecting overhead signal systems. You will interpret plans, oversee aerial work, ensure safety, and coordinate with inspectors and stakeholders.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in traffic signals with leadership exposure, strong knowledge of MUTCD and OSHA standards, and experience with rigging and controller installations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of traffic signal experience with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
• Proficiency in traffic signal installation, aerial equipment operation, and interpreting signal plans/specs.
• Strong knowledge of MUTCD, OSHA regulations, and TxDOT/COSA requirements.
• Experience with rigging, crane lifts, signal controller installation, and electrical troubleshooting.
• Proficient with HCSS HeavyJob and digital documentation tools.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Flagger, bucket truck safety, and confined space certifications required or obtained on hire.

Responsibilities

• Reads and interprets signal layouts, project plans, and governing specifications.
• Leads measurements, mast arm leveling, and equipment rigging.
• Manages bucket truck operations and ensures aerial safety standards.
• Supervises pole and mast arm placement, signal head mounting, and wire pulling.
• Oversees wiring, grounding, and terminations for power and detection systems.
• Conducts pre-task hazard assessments and enforces OSHA compliance.
• Reviews material inventory, tool maintenance, and equipment usage.
• Manages daily reporting with HCSS HeavyJob for labor, production, and materials.
• Reviews crew timekeeping and safety checklists for compliance.
• Interfaces with inspectors and stakeholders to resolve issues.
