Pike Electric, LLC is seeking a Groundman in Tallahassee, FL to support construction and maintenance of overhead electrical distribution systems. You will assist crews, perform outdoor labor, and help with safety protocols while reporting to the Foreman.

This entry‑level role requires physical stamina, ability to lift 50 pounds, and willingness to travel and work varied hours, including outages and emergencies. Join a growing utility contractor with a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain CDL within 60 days.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift up to 50 pounds.
• Work extended hours, including weekends, holidays, and emergencies.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsabilités

• Perform new construction, maintain and repair overhead distribution systems while prioritizing safety.
• Install and repair overhead power lines, poles, insulators, conductors and related hardware.
• Maintain company vehicles, equipment and tools.
• Work outdoors in varying environmental conditions.
• Available to work outages, storms, emergencies including on call rotation.
• Follow safety protocols including PPE use and a comprehensive understanding of insulated protective gear.
• Inspect rubber goods and PPE.
• Understanding of when to wear personal protective equipment.
• Will perform rigorous physical labor.
