Job summary

Pike Electric LLC is seeking a Groundman in Jasper, AL to assist crews with the construction, repair, and maintenance of overhead electric distribution systems. You will report to the Foreman and support all crew activities outdoors in diverse conditions.

The role requires willingness to travel, long hours, and physical labor including lifting up to 50 pounds. Safe work practices and PPE use are mandatory as you contribute to our power grid reliability.

Qualifications

• Physical stamina is required to perform rigorous outdoor labor.
• Willingness to travel long distances on short notice.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work outside normal hours, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist in constructing, repairing, and maintaining overhead distribution systems.
• Install and repair overhead power lines, poles, insulators, conductors and related hardware.
• Maintain company vehicles, equipment and tools in good condition.
• Work outdoors in varying environmental conditions and respond to outages and emergencies including on-call rotations.
• Follow all safety protocols including PPE usage and insulating protective gear understanding.
