Job summary

Pike Corporation is seeking a Groundman in Fort Worth, TX, to support our power grid construction and maintenance teams. You will assist in building, repairing and maintaining overhead distribution systems, reporting to the Foreman, and supporting field operations in diverse weather conditions.

The role emphasizes safety, physical labor, and readiness for outages or emergencies. CDL readiness within 60 days and willingness to travel may be required, with opportunities for on-call work and

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and ability to obtain CDL within 60 days.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Work outside regular hours, including weekends, holidays, emergencies and overtime.
• Be prepared for extended out-of-state assignments.
• Follow safety protocols including PPE use and understanding insulated protective measures.

Responsibilities

• Assist team in building, repairing, and maintaining overhead electrical distribution systems.
• Help install and repair poles, insulators, conductors and related hardware.
• Maintain company vehicles, equipment and tools in good working order.
• Work outdoors in varying environmental conditions and extreme weather.
• Be available to work outages, storms, emergencies and on-call rotations.
• Inspect PPE and ensure proper use of protective equipment.
• Perform physical labor as required for job duties.
