Job summary

Pike Corporation is seeking a Groundman to support construction and maintenance of overhead electrical distribution systems. You will assist the team, work outdoors, and report to the Foreman, with a strong emphasis on safety and readiness for outages and emergencies.

The position requires physical labor, travel as needed, and availability to work weekends and overtime. CDL eligibility within 60 days is preferred and a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform physically demanding labor.
• Willing to travel and work nonstandard hours as needed.
• CDL-eligible within 60 days is preferred for progression.

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction, maintenance and repair of overhead distribution systems.
• Assist with installation of poles, insulators and conductors.
• Maintain vehicles, equipment and tools in good working order.
• Work outdoors in varying weather and on-call rotations.
• Follow safety protocols and PPE requirements.
