Job summary

Pike Corporation is seeking a Groundman to join our team in Charlotte, NC, supporting the construction and maintenance of overhead electrical distribution systems. You will assist foremen, perform rugged outdoor labor, and participate in on-call rotations to ensure grid reliability.

The role requires safety-focused conduct, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and willingness to travel or work extended hours, including weekends or holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license and be able to obtain a CDL within 60 days.
• Able to travel long distances on short notice.
• Capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds and performing rigorous physical labor.

Responsibilities

• Assist in constructing, maintaining, and repairing overhead distribution systems.
• Support installation and repair of power lines, poles, insulators, conductors, and related hardware.
• Maintain company vehicles, equipment, and tools in good condition.
• Work outdoors in varying weather and during outages, storms, or emergencies.
