Job summary

Equus Workforce Solutions is seeking an instructor to manage classrooms and deliver competency-based instruction, coordinating with academic departments to create engaging, outcome-focused training. The role supports students in job placement, military education, and post-secondary credentials.

The instructor will develop interactive lessons, maintain relevant plans, and build industry partnerships to enhance work-based learning opportunities for learners in career development programs.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations.
• Ability to draft reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals.
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts and practical situations such as probability, statistical inference, and proportions.
• State driver’s license recommended.
• Certification/experience in vocational trades preferred; instructor certification may be required by relevant trades organizations.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates the ability to manage the classroom for effective learning.
• Exhibits knowledge of competency-based and computer-assisted instruction, cooperative learning techniques, and trainee engagement through classroom observation.
• Maintains lesson plans relevant to course material.
• Creates innovative and interactive training for the students.
• Coordinates and engages with the academic department for integrated learning opportunities.
• Assists with job placement, military, college, and post-secondary education and obtaining primary credentials.
• Develops industry partnerships that could lead to work-based learning, internships, and job placement outcomes.
