Job summary

Equus Workforce Solutions seeks an experienced instructor to lead Career Technical Training programs at our center in the United States. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
• Experience in vocational trade preferred.
• Certified, licensed, or accredited in the state in which the center is located or by a professional trade organization.
• Experience working with diverse youth.
• A valid driver's license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Promotes a positive classroom atmosphere to maximize student motivation.
• Maintains discipline to ensure maximum learning.
• Functions as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Career Technical Training field.
• Presents lessons using multimodal approaches to accommodate learning styles.
• Establishes strong student/instructor rapport.
• Prepares lessons and aligns curriculum with Industry Standards and Training Achievement Record.
• Records and forwards daily attendance.
• Assists in completion of all Job Corps forms.
• Ensures safety and cleanliness of classrooms and shops.
• Develops industry partnerships for work-based learning, internships, and job placement outcomes.
• Assists students in obtaining credentials.
• Updates electronic Training Achievement Record (eTAR).
• Prepares reports on hours, requisitions, attendance, evaluations.
• Assists with student placement (job, military, college, apprenticeship).
• Operates in accordance with PRH, SOPs and corporate policies.
• Evaluates and records progress/evaluations in CIS.
• Assists Supervisor during inventory.
• Models appropriate CSS and employability skills.
• Maintains accountability of staff, students, and property.
• Adheres to safety practices in all areas.
• Fosters a safe, harassment-free learning environment.
• Attends required staff training opportunities.
