Northampton Community College in Bethlehem, PA invites applications for a part-time Lineworker Instructor in the Lineworker Trainee Program. The role combines hands-on outside instruction with classroom sessions to build safety, pole climbing, and line construction competencies.
Responsibilities include presenting course material, administering exams, and coordinating 12-week sessions; scheduling may be 1-4 days per week, with occasional days outside the session.
Part-time, hands-on adjunct instructors for the Lineworker Trainee Program. The program prepares participants for entry-level lineworker positions in the electrical and communications industry. Instructors work primarily outside to develop students' safety, pole climbing, and line construction competencies, and also teach classroom sessions, present course material, and administer exams.
Scheduling is driven by program needs and may involve 1-4 days per week during each 12-week session, along with occasional days outside the session.
Minimum 5 years' experience as a Journeyman Lineworker. Experience as a trainer/instructor is helpful.
