Job summary

Pike Electric LLC in Austin, TX is seeking a Class A Lineman to construct, repair, and maintain overhead distribution systems and work on energized lines. The role may require travel to multiple job sites, including out-of-state locations, with a focus on safety and teamwork.

The position involves climbing structures, operating bucket trucks, and responding to outages with on-call rotations; a CDL and several years of line experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of recent overhead line experience.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Work for extended periods at job locations, including out-of-state assignments.

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction, maintain and repair energized and de-energized overhead distribution systems.
• Lead crew members in absence of the Employee in Charge and conduct pre-job safety briefings.
• Train and mentor apprentices and groundmen.
• Install and repair overhead power lines, poles, insulators and conductors.
• Climb structures using approved methods; work at heights and near energized equipment.
• Operate bucket trucks, digger derricks, tensioners and pullers.
• Respond to outages and emergencies including on-call rotations.
