Job summary

Pike Electric, Inc. is seeking a Class B Lineman to construct and repair overhead distribution systems. You will work on energized and de-energized lines, travel to various job sites including out-of-state locations, and report to the Foreman.

Essential responsibilities include installing lines, poles and hardware, performing live-line work with proper PPE, and climbing structures while maintaining safety as a top priority. CDL is required.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of overhead line experience.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Work extended hours including weekends, holidays, emergencies and OT.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction, maintenance and repair of overhead distribution systems.
• Install and repair overhead power lines, poles and hardware.
• Follow switching, tagging, grounding and voltage procedures with proper PPE and tools.
• Climb structures using approved techniques and equipment.
• Operate bucket trucks, digger derricks and other line equipment.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions and travel to outages or emergencies.
• Perform live-line work using gloving and hot-stick techniques.
• Ensure safety protocols and insulated protective measures are followed.
