Job summary

Pike Electric LLC is seeking a Class B Lineman to construct and repair overhead distribution systems. The role involves working on energized lines, traveling to various sites, and reporting to the Foreman.

Responsibilities include installing lines, adhering to switching and tagging procedures, climbing structures, and operating bucket trucks and other equipment. Travel and overtime are required as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of overhead line experience.
• Valid CDL required.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Willing to work extended hours including overtime and emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Build and repair overhead distribution systems, energized or de-energized.
• Install and repair overhead power lines, poles and hardware.
• Follow switching/tagging procedures and grounding norms.
• Climb structures using approved methods.
• Operate bucket trucks, digger derricks, tensioners and pullers.
• Work outdoors in varied weather and environments.
• Be available for outages, storms, emergencies and on-call rotations.
• Perform live-line work using gloving and hot-sticks techniques.
• Adhere to all PPE and safety protocols.
