Job summary

Pike Electric LLC in Raleigh, NC seeks a Class A Lineman to construct, repair and maintain overhead distribution systems. This role involves work on energized and de-energized lines, with travel to various job sites including out-of-state locations as needed.

You will report to the Foreman and prioritize safety at all times. Ideal candidates have five years of overhead line experience, a valid CDL, and are willing to work outside normal hours, including outages and emergencies.

Qualifications

• Five years of overhead line experience.
• Valid CDL required.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift up to 50 pounds.
• Willing to work extended hours including weekends and holidays.
• Work on energized and de-energized lines with safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Construct, maintain and repair overhead distribution systems while prioritizing safety.
• Lead crew in absence of the Employee in Charge and conduct safety briefings.
• Train apprentices and groundmen.
• Install and repair overhead power lines, poles and hardware.
• Perform live-line work using gloving and hot-stick techniques.
• Operate bucket trucks and other line equipment.
• Follow switching and tagging procedures and use test equipment.
