Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC in Raleigh, NC seeks a Class B Lineman to build, repair and maintain overhead distribution systems safely on energized and de-energized lines, with occasional travel to out‑of‑state sites. You will climb poles and structures, operate bucket trucks and other equipment, and perform live-line work using glove techniques, while adhering to PPE and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Three years of recent overhead line experience.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lifts up to 50 pounds and handles heavy equipment.
• Willing to work outside normal hours including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction, maintenance and repair of overhead distribution systems while prioritizing safety.
• Install and repair overhead power lines, poles, insulators and conductors.
• Follow switching, tagging, grounding and voltage safety procedures with proper tools.
• Climb structures using approved methods and safety equipment.
• Operate bucket trucks and other overhead line equipment, including outages and emergencies.
• Work outdoors in varying weather and on-call rotations.
