Job summary

Pike Electric LLC is seeking a Class A Lineman to construct and repair overhead distribution systems, with work on energized and de-energized lines. Willingness to travel to various job sites, including out-of-state locations, is required, and reporting to the Foreman.

Safety is emphasized on every task. Responsibilities include leading crews, training apprentices, performing live-line work, and adhering to PPE and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of recent overhead line experience.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Willing to work outside normal hours including weekends, holidays, emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction, maintain and repair overhead distribution systems while prioritizing safety.
• Lead crew members in the absence of the Employee in Charge and conduct pre-job safety briefings.
• Train and mentor apprentices and groundmen.
• Install and repair overhead power lines, poles, insulators, conductors and related hardware.
• Follow switching and tagging procedures, grounding and voltage control on energized/de-energized lines.
