Job summary

SupportFinity™ in Chesapeake, VA is seeking a Class B Lineman - Overhead to join our field crew. This semi-skilled role covers construction, maintenance, and repair of electrical distribution systems and may require travel to other states.

You will perform live and de-energized work, install transformers and switches, troubleshoot faults, climb structures, and uphold safety protocols. English communication, 5+ years field experience, and CDL eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of field experience in overhead distribution work.
• Must read and communicate effectively in English.
• Able to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License permit within 60 days of employment.
• CDL is preferred but not mandatory.
• Able to travel long distances on short notice.
• Able to work extended hours and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform safe construction, maintenance, and repair on energized/de-energized overhead systems.
• String overhead wire and set poles/anchors.
• Install transformers, switches, and protective devices.
• Troubleshoot primary and secondary circuits; replace fuses; clear faults.
• Work at heights and in confined spaces; use PPE correctly.
• Inspect and maintain vehicles, equipment, and tools.
