Job summary

Pike Electric LLC is seeking a Class A Lineman to construct and repair overhead distribution systems. You will work on energized and de-energized lines and may travel to various job sites, including out-of-state locations, reporting to the Foreman.

Responsibilities include leading crew in absence of command, training apprentices, installing and repairing lines, and performing live-line work with appropriate PPE. Strong safety culture is essential.

Qualifications

• Five years of overhead line experience.
• CDL required.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift up to 50 pounds.
• Work outside normal hours, including overtime.

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction, maintenance, and repair of overhead distribution systems with safety first.
• Lead crew in absence of lead worker and conduct safety briefings.
• Train and mentor apprentices and groundmen.
• Install and repair overhead lines, poles, insulators, and conductors.
• Know switching/tagging procedures and work with energized/de-energized lines using proper equipment.
• Operate bucket trucks and other line equipment safely.
