Job summary

MasTec Utility Services is seeking an OHE Lineman B to assist Journeyman Lineman and Foreman while training. You will work on constructing and maintaining poles, power lines, and related equipment for electricity transmission and distribution, following safe practices.

The role emphasizes hands-on learning with the Lineman team, performing duties across field operations, and ensuring quality and timely job completion. Relevant CDL and OSHA credentials are valued for progression.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of lineman experience.
• Valid Class A CDL is required.
• OSHA 10 Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Construct, maintain, and inspect transmission and distribution electrical lines.
• Provide technical skills for reliable electrical services to customers.
• Assist in connecting/disconnecting equipment on customer facilities.
• Route or re-route power lines around existing lines and structures.
• Inspect and/or remove damaged power lines.
• Assist in carrying poles, digging holes, and setting/replacing poles.
• Perform line switching or sectionalizing as directed.
• Provide backup for Apprentice Lineman and assist in duties.
• Submit Apprentice Program documentation on time.
• Troubleshoot electrical problems on customer equipment.
• Drive bucket truck to job sites and maintain stock.
• Investigate consumer complaints and perform repairs as needed.
