Eversource is seeking an Overhead Hot Stick Troubleshooter for the Yarmouth, MA area. The role involves locating faults on overhead/URD systems, operating switching devices, and restoring service under urgent conditions.

Union representation applies and wage starts at the posted hourly rate with varying schedules. Required qualifications include a valid CDL Class B, a high school diploma, mechanical aptitude, and at least three years as a Journeyman Overhead Lineman.

Competenze

• Valid CDL Class B Driver’s License.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of electric transmission & distribution system; be analytical, alert, resourceful, and committed to safe work habits.
• Must pass EEI CAST test and successful interview.
• Ability to perform moderately heavy outdoor physical work in all seasons.
• At least 3 years of Journeyman Overhead Lineman experience on energized and de-energized lines.

Mansioni

• Operates fault-locating equipment on overhead/URD systems and sometimes underground.
• Operates switching devices on overhead systems and pad-mount equipment.
• Clears faulty and unsafe conditions to restore service.
• Connects/disconnects portable transformers and temporary jumpers to restore service.
• Replaces failed single-phase transformers ≤ 50kVA with assistance.
• Performs battery and control cable maintenance tasks.
• Replaces damaged or faulty services during initial response or follow-up maintenance.
• Installs/reinstalls single-phase or three-phase primary lines as needed.
• Installs and repairs rubber protective equipment.
• Operates overhead and pad-mounted control equipment.
• Performs line patrols and inspections of overhead, distribution, and transmission lines.
