Job summary

Pike Electric LLC is seeking a Groundman to support our electrical distribution crews in Georgia. You will assist with building, repairing and maintaining overhead power lines, poles and hardware, under the supervision of a Foreman.

The role involves outdoor work in all weather, travel to out-of-state locations, heavy lifting up to 50 pounds, and being on call for outages and emergencies. CDL eligibility within 60 days is required and safety PPE must be observed.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License and able to obtain a CDL within 60 days.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist the team in building, repairing, and maintaining overhead electrical distribution systems.
• Perform duties related to new construction and maintenance of power lines, poles, insulators and conductors.
• Maintain company vehicles, equipment and tools in good working order.
• Work outdoors in varying weather and be available for outages, storms, emergencies including on-call rotation.
