Job summary

Pike Electric LLC is seeking a Class B Lineman to construct and repair overhead distribution systems. The role involves climbing structures, live-line work and travel to various job sites, including out-of-state, while prioritizing safety.

Responsibilities include installing lines, poles and hardware, performing switching/grounding, and operating bucket trucks and other line equipment. Candidates should be able to work extended hours and outages, with a valid CDL and 3+ years of experience.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of overhead line experience.
• Valid CDL.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Work extended hours including weekends/holidays.
• Outage/storm/emergency on-call readiness.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction, maintenance and repair of overhead distribution systems.
• Install and repair overhead power lines, poles, insulators and conductors.
• Follow switching, tagging and grounding procedures safely.
• Climb structures using approved methods and equipment.
• Operate bucket trucks, digger derricks and other lineman equipment.
• Work outdoors in varying weather and environments.
• Perform live-line work with PPE and hot-stick techniques.
• Follow safety protocols and PPE guidelines.
