Job summary

Utility Lines Construction Services in Mooresville, NC is seeking an Overhead Distribution A Lineperson to install, maintain, and repair overhead distribution and transmission systems, including poles, cables, transformers, and associated equipment.

The role requires climbing, operating heavy equipment, and adhering to safety rules; traveling for storm work may be required; competitive hourly pay discussed during interview; excellent benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in overhead distribution linework and high voltage safety practices.
• Ability to climb structures and operate heavy equipment.
• Proven troubleshooting skills for primary and secondary systems.

Responsibilities

• Setting poles and anchors; stringing overhead wire.
• Installing transformers, arrestors, cutouts, crossarms, insulators, switches, and switchgear.
• Performing new construction, maintenance, or repair on energized and de-energized lines while following safety rules.
• Troubleshooting issues with primary and secondary systems.
• Replacing cutout fuses and clearing faulted circuits.
• Daily testing and inspection of tools and equipment for safe operation.
• Report injuries and safety concerns to Foreperson.
• Other duties related to overhead power installation as needed by Supervisors.
