Utility Lines Construction Services is seeking an entry-level Overhead Distribution C Lineperson in Mooresville, NC. You will install and maintain overhead distribution lines, poles, and related equipment, ensuring safe operation and compliance with company standards.

The role emphasizes hands-on work with transformers, crossarms, insulators, and gear, requiring strong communication, safety focus, and readiness for overtime during storms or emergencies.

Qualifications

• Entry-level line worker capable of installing and repairing overhead distribution systems.
• Must have strong communication skills, written and spoken.
• Ability to work with energized high voltage systems.
• Willing to travel for out-of-state emergency storm work.

Responsibilities

• Install transformers, arrestors, crossarms, insulators, switches, and switchgear.
• Set poles and anchors, string overhead wire, and perform sagging techniques.
• Troubleshoot primary and secondary systems and clear faults.
• Replace fuses and restore circuits to normal operation.
• Communicate work plans with property owners and the public as needed.
• Inspect and maintain tools and equipment for safety and readiness.
• Perform general overhead power installation, maintenance, and repair work.
• Adhere to safety standards; report hazards to Foreperson.
