Job summary

Utility Lines Construction Services in Baltimore, MD is seeking an Overhead Distribution A Lineperson to install and maintain overhead distribution and transmission systems, including poles, cables and transformers.

The candidate should have 5+ years in electrical power line construction and be able to work with energized HV systems. Willingness to travel for storm work is required; competitive compensation and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in electrical power line construction.

Responsibilities

• Set poles and anchors; string overhead wire.
• Install transformers, lightning arresters, cutouts, cross arms insulators, switches, and switchgear.
• Perform construction, maintenance, or repair on energized/de-energized overhead lines with safety rules.
• Troubleshoot primary and secondary systems.
• Replace cutout fuses and clear faulted circuits.
• Test and inspect tools/equipment daily for safety.
• Report injuries/near misses to Foreperson.
• Other duties related to overhead power supply installation.
