Job summary

Utility Lines Construction Services is seeking a Lineperson for overhead distribution work, performing setting poles, stringing wire, and installing transformers, arrestors, cutouts, crossarms, insulators, switches, and switchgear. The role covers construction, maintenance, or repair on energized and de-energized lines, strictly following safety rules.

Candidates must have heavy equipment knowledge, high-voltage experience, and the ability to climb structures.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of electrical linework experience and proof of work history.
• Ability to work with energized high-voltage systems and perform dangerous tasks safely.
• Ability to climb structures and operate heavy equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Setting poles and anchors and stringing overhead wire.
• Installing transformers, arrestors, cutouts, crossarms, insulators, switches, and switchgear.
• Performing maintenance or repair on energized and de-energized lines, following safety rules.
• Troubleshooting primary and secondary systems.
• Replacing fuses and clearing faulted circuits and systems.
• Daily testing and inspection of tools and equipment for safety.
• Report injuries and safety concerns to Foreperson.
• Other duties related to overhead power supply installation.
