Job summary

Valmont Industries, Inc. Brenham site is seeking a Warehouse/Inventory Associate to safely move materials, manage inventory, and issue parts to shop orders using MRP/IFS systems. You will operate forklifts, straddle trucks, and an overhead crane, perform cycle counts, and ensure accurate inventory control in a manufacturing setting.

The role runs Monday–Thursday, 7 AM–5 PM with occasional overtime. Starting hourly pay is $20.34, with step pay increases at 90 days, 1 year, and 2 years.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must read and write English.
• Ability to use common manufacturing math.
• 6 months prior experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 6 months prior experience operating heavy equipment.
• 6 months prior experience using computer inventory control system.
• Ability to obtain forklift operator certification.
• Complete overhead crane training.
• Become proficient in operating a straddle truck.

Responsibilities

• Identify proper storage areas and organize for maximum storage with easy access.
• Operate forklift and straddle truck to move parts between receiving and shop orders.
• Use MRP/IFS to transact receiving and issuing parts and maintain inventory control.
• Perform inventory cycle counts and correct discrepancies.
• Move completed work to shipping area and support batch/ship requirements.
• Identify equipment malfunctions and report to maintenance/lead.
• Support quality checks and ensure accurate, on-time delivery.
