Job summary

Konecranes is seeking an experienced Overhead Crane Service Technician to troubleshoot and repair electric overhead cranes and hoists at customer sites nationwide. You will work at heights, follow strict safety protocols, and participate in on-call rotations to meet service needs.

The ideal candidate has 1 year of electrical troubleshooting and mechanical repair experience, a high school diploma, and a willingness to travel.

Qualifications

HS diploma required; Associate degree preferred or equivalent training.
1 year minimum experience in electrical troubleshooting and mechanical repair.
Willingness to travel and work off the ground; on-call rotation may apply.
Valid driver's license and good driving record; able to lift and work at heights.

Responsibilities

Inspect, maintain, and repair electric overhead traveling cranes and hoists at customer sites.
Provide on-call service as part of rotation; after-hours support as needed.
Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, structural, and electronic issues on-site.
Perform post-repair audits to verify safety features are functioning.
Document findings and recommend corrective actions; obtain customer signatures.
Consult with customers on repair and safety issues; advise on material handling improvements.
Produce electronic service reports using company tools; ensure timely submissions.
Stay current with OSHA, ANSI, CMAA, HMI codes and regulations.
Meet safety rules; participate in monthly safety meetings.
