Job summary

King County is seeking an Overdose Training and Community Engagement Consultant II (Educator Consultant II) to lead education and training efforts, engage with communities, and advance equity in overdose prevention. The role emphasizes community partnerships, capacity-building, and culturally responsive strategies in a hybrid Seattle-based setting.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher with relevant health/education experience.
• American Heart Association BLS/CPR-AED certification.
• Valid Washington State driver’s license and ability to drive county vehicle.
• Ability to work in variable community settings including outdoors.
• Knowledge of harm reduction and overdose prevention strategies.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills (PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Excellent communication with diverse communities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience applying ERSJ principles.
• Regular attendance and relationship-building with partners.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultation, leadership, and technical assistance on overdose prevention and training.
• Lead community capacity-building and engagement efforts.
• Develop inclusive, culturally responsive engagement strategies.
• Develop and facilitate training events and workshops.
• Collaborate with partners to integrate ERSJ practices across initiatives.
• Support ODPR training program quality assurance and improvement.
• Gather and analyze data to inform planning and reporting.
• Maintain education resources and reference materials.
• Lead or participate in debriefing and continuous improvement after trainings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
