Job summary

Estes-Express-Lines is seeking Line Haul Extraboard Drivers to move freight between Estes Service Centers. The role emphasizes safe operation of tractors and trailers, compliance with FMCSA regulations, and keeping thorough records.

Expect to work long-haul routes with potential time away from home and use of in-cab technology. Qualified drivers must have a Class A CDL, HazMat endorsements, and reside within 75 miles of a Service Center.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or any combination of education and experience that provides an equivalent background.
• Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and be registered with the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse.
• HazMat, Tanker and Doubles endorsements required; must reside within 75 miles of the domiciled Service Center or work assignment.

Responsibilities

• Operate all types of equipment safely and perform required safety functions (e.g., manual transmission, chaining tires).
• Transport freight in compliance with FMCSA, state, and local regulations and company policies.
• Adhere to FMCSA requirements for CDL holders and pass FMCSA medical exams and road tests.
• Maintain required records and ensure cargo security during transit.
• Use in-cab technology and electronic logs as required and possible drive different schedules.
