Job summary

Weir ESCO in Newton, MS is hiring an Oven Operator for the 2nd shift (12:00pm to 10:15pm, Monday–Thursday) to run heat-treat ovens and verify temperatures at shift start and throughout operations.

You will load prep, coordinate with other operators, maintain heat-treat records, and assist with basic oven maintenance while upholding our safety culture.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to follow detailed heat-treat recipes.
• Experience in heat treatment, foundry, or manufacturing preferred.
• Forklift operation or material-handling experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify equipment deviations.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor industrial ovens to maintain target temperatures.
• Prepare loads by alloy type and section size; coordinate with other operators.
• Maintain heat-treat records including alloy, load, and time.
• Assist with basic oven maintenance and report issues promptly.
• Follow heat-treat processes and keep oven parameters within specs.
• Support a safe work environment consistent with zero-harm culture.
