Job summary

Weir ESCO is seeking an Oven Operator in Newton, MS to operate and monitor ovens for heat treating castings, ensuring temperatures are met at shift start and maintained throughout. You will prep and coordinate loads, log heat-treat records, and assist with basic oven maintenance while supporting a strong safety culture.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED and the ability to follow detailed heat-treat recipes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to follow detailed heat treat recipes.
• Experience in heat treatment, foundry, or manufacturing with high temperatures is a plus.
• Forklift operation or coordination with material handling is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify equipment deviations.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor industrial ovens used for heat treating castings, maintaining required temperatures.
• Prepare loads by alloy type and size; coordinate with others and load ovens with correct recipes.
• Maintain heat treat records including alloy type, load details, time in oven, and inspection notes.
• Assist with basic oven maintenance and report deviations to minimize downtime.
• Follow safety guidelines and contribute to a safe work environment; meet daily success indicators.
