Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is partnering with a Dallas-area metals recycling and processing facility to hire an Overhead Operator to safely operate a sit-down forklift and move materials throughout the plant. Pay ranges from $15 to $17 per hour, with overtime expectations including every other weekend.

The role requires reliability, attention to safety, and the ability to perform 12-hour shifts while supporting production with timely material handling.

Qualifications

• Previous forklift experience required; sit-down forklift experience strongly preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing, recycling, foundry, metals processing, warehouse, or industrial environments preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain on your feet for extended periods.
• Comfortable with 12-hour shifts and significant overtime.
• Strong attention to safety and ability to follow established procedures.
• Reliable attendance and willingness to work every other weekend as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate a sit-down forklift to transport raw materials, scrap metal, and finished products throughout the facility.
• Load, unload, stage, and organize materials in designated production and storage areas.
• Supply production teams with materials needed to maintain continuous operations.
• Assist with feeding and moving transmission components through the recycling process.
• Monitor work areas for safety hazards and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
• Perform routine equipment inspections and report any maintenance issues.
• Follow all company safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, and PPE standards.
• Support production goals while maintaining quality and efficiency standards.
• Assist with other material handling and production-related duties as assigned.

Location: Dallas, TX
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Pay: $15-$17/hr (depending on experience)
Overtime: 20+ hours of OT per week expected, including every other weekend as needed

Position Summary

Our client is a growing metals recycling and processing facility seeking a dependable Overhead Operator to support daily production operations. This role is responsible for safely operating a sit-down forklift, moving materials throughout the facility, and supporting the processing of transmission components that are melted down and recycled for aluminum and steel recovery.
