Machine Operator/Forklift-Recycle
$18.00 per hour
Shift: 3rd
Hours: 11:00pm-7:30am
Join a fast-paced warehouse team where no two days are exactly the same. This position combines forklift operation with hands-on production responsibilities, making it a great opportunity for someone who enjoys staying active and working in a team-oriented environment. While forklift operation is an important part of the role, associates will also assist with material handling and recycling processes throughout the shift.
- Operate a sit-down forklift to transport raw materials, finished products, and pallets throughout the warehouse as needed.
- Load and unload materials safely from trailers, storage areas, and production lines.
- Rework and sort materials according to production and quality standards.
- Dump recyclable materials into industrial grinders for processing.
- Stage, organize, and move materials to support production operations.
- Assist with recycling and waste management processes throughout the facility.
- Perform manual material handling when forklift operation is not required.
- Inspect materials for quality and identify damaged or non-conforming products.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area by following housekeeping standards.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations while operating equipment and performing production duties.
- Communicate with supervisors and team members to ensure efficient workflow and production goals are met.
- Minimum of 1 year of previous sit-down forklift experience required.
- Previous warehouse, manufacturing, or production experience preferred.
- Ability to safely operate powered industrial equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality required.
- Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Frequently stand and walk for the duration of the shift.
- Regular bending, stooping, twisting, kneeling, and reaching.
- Ability to climb on and off forklift equipment throughout the day.
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures, dust, and noise levels.
- Must be willing to perform both forklift and general production duties as business needs require. There may be entire shifts where forklift operation is minimal or not required.
- Overtime may be required based on production schedules and customer demand.
