Our outside sales representative is responsible to manage the Central Pennsylvania territory and to establish sales relationships, negotiate customer purchase commitments and maintain the accounts of existing customers to meet predetermined territory sales goals. This person is also responsible to promote products and services while communicating customer feedback and troubleshooting quality and service issues.

Key Functions of the Position:

  • Travel throughout the assigned geographical territory (including overnight 1-2 nights/week) calling on existing and prospective customers soliciting/enriching buying relationships and increasing territory purchase volume
  • Promote products and services through consultative selling techniques while pursuing a strengthened understanding of customer business practices
  • Provide troubleshooting assistance to both internal and external customers
  • Manage profitability through negotiation of trade discounts based on purchase volume and other factors in compliance with predetermined trade discount guidelines
  • Prepare required reports on customer, marketplace, and competitor data to make internal departments aware of product and service needs

Required Experience:

  • 3+ years of successful field sales experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient with MS Office software
