JJ Kane is expanding its nationwide presence and is seeking an Outside Sales Associate in either the Seattle, WA or Portland, OR area. The ideal candidate will bring energy, enthusiasm, and a strong commitment to customer service within a team environment.

JJ Kane auctions various used equipment, including bucket trucks, digger derricks, construction equipment, backhoes, skid steers, mini excavators, tractor crawlers, dozers, fleet cars, and more. Minimum Requirements:

  • Two years of successful outside sales experience within Altec or a similar industry is preferred.
  • Ability to reside within the territory of Seattle, WA or Portland, OR.
  • Flexibility for overnight travel.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.

If the candidate qualifies for a more experienced level, the job level may be adjusted accordingly.

Salary Range starts at $80,000

This position is suited for self-starters with an interest or background in mechanical products or equipment, and requires excellent communication, time management, and administrative skills.

  • Skills and abilities to work collaboratively with the Pre-Owned Equipment Division and Auction personnel to identify and evaluate equipment for future auctions (4 to 8 monthly).
  • Proven sales experience to acquire equipment for consignment at scheduled auctions, leveraging customer databases, direct mail, calls, and personal sales efforts.
  • Attention to detail to ensure equipment is auction-ready, including descriptions, photos, titles, operations, and logistics.
  • Ability to complete training on auction processes, including buyer registration, data entry, invoicing, and titles.
  • Extroverted and professional demeanor to develop and maintain positive customer relations during auctions.
